Contributing Writer and Photographer

Phyllis Steinberg has been a travel writer, food columnist, staff writer and society columnist for the South Florida Newspaper Network for the past 18 years. She also writes for all of the papers in the Sun-Sentinel Community News Group at various times and for special sections such as Summer Getaways, Israel Today Travel, Senior Living, Education, Health and her weekly food column appears in all the papers in this chain.

Phyllis also professionally freelances and her articles have appeared in many newspapers, magazines and on websites including: Fifty Plus Magazine, Detroit Jewish News, Cleveland Jewish News, Hadassah Magazine, Traditions 2001, The Breakers, Palm Beach, Insight Magazine, Best Read Guide, Fort Lauderdale, The Advocate Newspaper, Baton Rouge and the Atlanta Jewish Times, MyCookbook.com and Travellady.com, Evalu8.com 

More than a million people read Phyllis' food columns in South Florida including in the Sun-Sentinel Shalom Today section. She is on the staff of the Jewish Journal, in Broward, Dade and Palm Beach counties and writes weekly feature stories on a variety of subjects including health, travel, personality profiles and lifestyle stories. 

Phyllis co-authored the travel book, Eyewitness Guide to Florida, which is currently on sale in the United States and around the world. A member of the Society of American Travel Writers (SATW). Her awards include a feature writing award from the Florida Press Association and a Media Award from the Bnai Zion Foundation.
