Robin Tierney
Robin Tierney, "Writer for Hire," has been freelancing full-time from Washington, DC since the late '80s. Previously, she served as Associate Creative Director for the Earle Palmer Brown agency, supervising, conceptualizing and writing copy for award-winning marketing campaigns. Earlier, she helped revitalize the image of classic investments as promotion coordinator for U.S. Savings Bonds. Robins writing credits span a wide range: Two editions of a well-reviewed humor cookbook for working women A nationally distributed, highly praised handbook on caring for adopted dogs A singles advice column Newsletter and columns on canine care (Robin's Dog Tips, available nationwide on several animal welfare group/shelter websites) Numerous articles on business, art, music, travel, health, food, hospitality and high-achievers for publications including The Washington Post, Boston Globe, Baltimore Sun, Crafts Report, Baltimore magazine, Jewish Times/News affiliates, Dog Fancy, World Trade, Atlanta, Business Atlanta and Bridal Guide. In addition, she volunteers for several organizations, including the Partnership for Animal Welfare where she developed the RPO Responsible Pet Ownership/Humane Education program, which became the model of several humane education/pet care programs within and beyond Maryland. Robin is very active in the local art community.
